Our sterling silver pieces are made from recycled sterling silver (925) and finished with an anti-tarnish, rhodium plating. This extra coating helps prevent your silver from oxidising quickly when exposed to air, so it keeps its shine for much longer. Each sterling silver piece is hallmarked 925, and you’ll find the stamp on your jewellery.

Our New Drop pieces are silver-plated brass with a protective anti-tarnish coat, and come with a one-year plating guarantee.

All genuine sterling silver pieces are stamped 925. Silver is non-magnetic, so it shouldn’t be attracted to a magnet—you can easily test this yourself.

Our sterling silver pieces won't turn your finger green. New Drop pieces are silver-plated brass with a protective anti-tarnish coat, so keep them dry to help the plating last. Over time, silver can slightly darken when exposed to air and moisture, which is a natural process. The rhodium plating helps prevent tarnishing, but with frequent wear it can fade a little.

If your jewellery ever looks slightly dull, simply use a silver polishing cloth (you can find one on Amazon for about £1) to gently polish it and it’ll look as good as new.

Store your jewellery in its pouch or a separate compartment to avoid scratches. Avoid wearing it in showers, swimming pools, or while applying perfumes, lotions, or cosmetics. Keeping it clean and dry will help it last beautifully for years.

Absolutely. Sterling silver is durable enough for everyday wear, and wearing it often can actually help prevent tarnish buildup.

We use a mix of natural and man-made stones. We’ve started incorporating man-made quartz because it has the same physical and chemical properties as natural quartz, but with a much lower environmental impact.

We don’t currently offer resizing, customisation, engraving, or repairs. If you need adjustments, we recommend visiting your local jeweller for assistance.

We accept returns on unused items in their original packaging within 14 days of receiving your order. Buyers are responsible for return postage. For international orders, customs taxes and import duties are the buyer’s responsibility and are not included in the price.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on items purchased in a 'sale/discounted items or gift cards. If you’ve ordered wrong sizing, we are more than happy to replace it with a different size that’s in stock for any item on our store.

Our jewellery does not contain nickel, making it a good choice for people with metal sensitivities.

We carefully check every piece before shipping, but in rare situations, jewellery might get damaged if the courier mishandles it during transit. If this happens, please email us at info@silvermelt.co.uk as soon as you receive it. We’ll send you a packaging slip so you can return the item to us. Once we review the issue, we’ll arrange a replacement or refund, whichever is possible.

If a stone comes loose or falls out within two months of receiving your ring, please reach out to us with a photo. Since our pieces are handmade, this can occasionally happen, and we’ll happily arrange a replacement for you.

We do not offer repairs, and we do not offer refunds or exchanges on items purchased at sale price.

We’re a small brand, so restocks depend on availability and demand. Some pieces may not return once sold out — we always recommend grabbing your favourite when you see it!

If you’re between two sizes, we recommend sizing up by half a size. Your finger size can slightly change with temperature and weather, so going up is usually more comfortable. If you’re unsure, just email us at info@silvermelt.co.uk, we’ll help you figure out your best fit.
